Do you have a calling to serve your community? Want to really screw with people's pre-conceived notions of gender roles, propriety and social norms? Think you would look good in a habit?
Then you might have what it takes to become a Sister.
While the process of becoming a Sister is long and challenging, we welcome applicants of all ages, sexes, genders, abilities, orientations and identities.
Contact us to get started on your journey.
Are you really good at advertising or graphic design? Do you like painting protest signs? Do you make good sandwiches? Can you sew a habit, but don't see yourself in one?
That's great, we know being a nun is not for everyone! We celebrate all of the strengths of our community and may very much need your expertise and/or labor.
If you have a skill that you think may help our ministry, or just want to hang out with some cool people and get to know a little more, contact us.
For those fortunate enough to be able to contribute financially, we offer several options*:
1. In-Person Donations
We are always happy to receive a donation while we are out and about in our community. This particular method is our most rewarding because we get to interact with donors face-to-face and maybe mark the occasion with some of our FABULOUS blessing glitter.
2. Online Donations
With the security and confidence of Paypal, we accept donations via this page and while we can't interact face-to-face, our enthusiasm and appreciation are not diminished (and we can mail you some blessing glitter, if you like, LOL).
3. Snail Mail Donations
Whether you are a little old-fashioned, or a hipster who thinks the analog method of writing a check is a more legitimate experience, we accept donations (checks, money orders, gift cards, flowers, chocolates or used jockstraps) via the mail at:
Abbey of the Grand Palmetto
308 Holmes Drive
Greenville, SC 29609-5025
Whether you can give a large amount or a handful of change; provide event space, or attend a party; have a calling to be a nun, or just want to hangout with us; there is a place for you and your contribution to our ministry.
